Anniversary!!

Our 55th Anniversary was April 14th. Jerry was in hospital having a procedure. And that's ok. We had gotten our gift 2 weeks earlier. 

Thirty years ago we decided to get something for the home on our anniversary. That year we got a huge water fountain. It lasted 20 years.  We've gotten another fountain, a new recliner, a love seat, lots of other things I can't remember. 

This year we got this

This storm shelter has steps-instead of a ladder- and is 6 feet tall inside. 

Now, we have to decide what to do around the cellar. 

I really pray we never have to use it, but Jerry was so concerned and worried about not having shelter. He hasn't mentioned any worries since they put it in. 

Storms again today. I'll let you know. 

Nap Time!!!

OKC memorial marathon

20 years ago last Sunday the Murah building was savagely bombed by terrorists killing 168 adults and children. 

Today, a week later, the city has a memorial marathon beginning at 6.30 central time. 

Our Lynn, Nonie and Andrew are 3 of the 25,000 running. 

I tear up every time I think of all those children killed. Of the mothers and fathers gone. Of the sons, daughters, aunts, uncles and cousins that didn't get to do all they were meant to. 

Then I remember that God had a reason even as the blast tore thru that building. 

And I am at peace again.  

Hospitals----ugh!!

For the last two weeks we have been in and out of hospital with Jerry. But I have a feeling he's doing better. PTL!!!

Our Daughter and our Son. They have been so helpful. Our Lynn lives in the same town as us so the burden of 

visiting, providing food, going to store and pharmacy has fallen onto her. But Dave has called every day to just keep up with what's been going on. Both of them showing how much they love their dad. 

Yesterday was our 55 anniversary, Jerry had a procedure to help and it has changed him a lot. He actually is not hurting or depressed. 

I remember two other times we weren't together. Our first he went fishing. I was very upset. A new baby, and he went fishing. But he made up for forgetting over and over. And the other was when we were in Tunisia and we had planned to go away for overnight anyway. But one of the offshore rigs asked for him. He went and I went out to eat with friends. The boss and his family came in to eat and H. O. Backed out of the door. He came and apologized. But life is life and we had our days away.  

This is Dave's furry persons house. It's 6 feet tall. Well Baby Girl is a Great Dane so she needs a big house. Last night when Dave called he told us about the squirrell.

We have to put Bella in Sarah's house so she won't get into trouble. 

She may be small but she's got a big voice.

Baby Girl killed a squirrell yesterday. By the time Dave got home she had flattened it but she didn't bury it. She left it in her bed in her new house. 

Furry People are as strange as we are!

Polly has come to visit!!

I like visitors. I dust the house, Jerry vacuums. We bring in fresh veggies. 

We change the sheets on the bed upstairs. We even clean out the toilet, tub and sink. 

Everything has to be clean!!  

Except

For

POLLY!!

That does NOT include Polly. 

Polly is not welcome. 

When she comes to visit, we all close the doors AND the windows. 

But then with the full name of POLLEN. 

What can she expect?

Cinderella!!!

My granddaughter called our Lynn today and told her we needed to go see Cinderella. I remember the Disney one from when it first came out.  That was when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and Cinderella was animated..

There have been several Cinderellas----Drew Barrymore in EverAfter----Gemma and I don't remember her last name was Cinderella in the 70's----Richard Chamberland was the Prince sometime in the 60's ---and I am sure I have missed some of the versions.  Yes, Hillary Duff and that wonderful comedienne in Legally Blonde..  The nail tech.

None of them had singing birds---blue birds----or mice that helped make her dress---or that cute little white haired god mother as did the Disney Cinderella..

Only time will tell if this one is as good as the one I remember.

Then there is the fact that I have rented all the others a jillion times because I like them so much.!!!!!

THEY are at IT AGAIN

Ok, I'll admit I get so busy I don't wipe counters down as things happen. It's a failing fault I have. 

I can live with that. 

But this is different

The PIXIES are BACK. 

You know what I mean. The pixies leave dirt on the floor--scum in the tub--hand prints on the glass door--shoes in the living room--and laundry in the dryer.
