No pics--no pics

I didn't get any pictures transferred from that phone to the blog. They showed for awhile and then went to that crazy computer talk script.

So sad.

No Pics from phone

No, it's not that easy. At first they showed up on phone, then when I went back all I has was some ?/>+and)))ok and others stupid stuff.

What a combobulation.

Phone to Blog with the Pics--Maybe?

I figured it out. When you take pictures on your phone with the ORANGE B and then press the publish icon. there they are.

Cloudy, Muggy with a Chance of Rain

Oh my, Summer is here. When I got up this morning at 5 it was still 75 degrees at our house.

Ugh!!!

I don't do hot. Hot is not good for me.I get grumpy.

There is a lot about summer that I like. Let me think about it for a little while and I can come up with a lot of
things to like.

UMMM? I know! Birds. We have Robins, Sparrows, Humming Birds, Dove, Quail, Cardinals, Blue Jays, and we even have a few Mocking Birds.

The most fun to watch are the Humming Birds. They are very territorial about their food. One of ours can't get enough to eat because he's always chasing the others away from the feeder.

And then we have the deer that come into the garden and eat everything. We really haven't had a garden for 2 years because they eat it all. There is a way to keep deer out of your garden.  Put hair around the perimeter of the area. They won't come in.

I just keep forgetting to ask my beautician to keep the hair clippings for me. What would I say? "Melissa could I come and get all those hairs from you? I need to keep the deer out of the garden." She'd probably call the guys in the white suits.

What else?

The early morning sun coming up. I know that the sun comes up everyday. I just kinda like it when the sun comes up around 6 to 6.30 so I can sit and have my coffee and watch the clouds change colors.

Ain't God good to us.

Arcadia and the Big red barn

I can't figure out how to get the pictures from my phone to the blog.  But  I did take some pictures from the camera as we were going into Arcadia.  Beautiful ride from OKC to Arcadia.  And that lake dam is gorgeous.  We will be going back to explore that.

This picture is just as we were going into Arcadia. Keith and Lynn in the lead, Larry and Carla in the middle and Diane and Chuck in the back.  I really like to ride, but driving is the next best thing.

Left to right---Me, Lynn, Diane and Carla all with out chosen sodas. Lynn and I both got a Capone brand.
She got the Root Beer and I got the Ginger Beer. So good.

The big red barn. Right next to the hiway. They just got finished painting and roofing the building. Lots of traffic as you can see. The bottom floor is a gift shop and museum combined. Really interesting things.
Arcadia is the only round barn anywhere on the old Mother Road---Route 66 from Santa Monica CA to Chicago IL. Chuck has his back to the camera. The guy on the horse was an eyeful but I don't have a zoom lense.

Another picture of the barn. It's over 100 years old. The engineering to make a round building 100 years ago---no wonder America is great.

Day Trip to OKC

If you live in Oklahoma you know what OKC means or just The City. It's Oklahoma City of course but we just say The City.

Sarah is staying home. She, of course, does not like that part. But we leave the Animal Planet on the TV for her. She's not spoiled is she? Ya think? Of course she is.  She gets by with a whole lot more than the kids or grandkids ever did.

Well this is great. I got the pictures on the Blogger for phone and can't figure out how to get them onto this page. So you will just have to believe what I type to you.

Our daughter and her husband were going to visit with some biker friends in OKC so we just tagged along.

Since we haven't been out of town for about 8 weeks it seemed like a good thing.

Other friends biked it to the Burger place along with Daughter and Son.

We drove.

Small place. I mean really small. But the flavors were ginormus. I mean really big. Got Jerry a slider with meat. tomato. and lettuce. Do I need to say that's like going to an ice cream place and getting vanilla. But that's just him.  Me, I had the ElMexicano.  Yum, Yummmmmmm. and the Fire Fries. Even MORE yummmmmmmmmm.

Then we had pie, so Jerry chose the chocolate because I like chocolate. Is there any other flavor that just perks up your taste buds? NO

Anyway, the pie was a s"more pie. And once we got over the fact that the meringue was not really meringue but marshmallow. It was wonderful. I think I will make one next week.

Went from there to Arcadia to see the round barn that's a hundred years old or more. It is BIG and it's really round.

But first we stopped at POP'S .  They have every kind of soda you can imagine and some you can't .
Wonderful.  I had the Ginger Beer. Like root beer but with ginger. I love ginger. When I go to the sushi bar I have as much pickled ginger as I do sushi. Love it. And it's good for what ails you.

Got home about 5. Fixed a light supper and watched the Thunder game.  They won. A wonderful end to a marvelous day.

Thunder Up!

Second quarter of the fourth in the series and The Thunder is 51 points to 43 for San Antonio.

I like basketball. But baseball is my all time favorite.

When world series came up in the fall of 2008 my Jerry thought he had a wild woman instead of me.

I remember as a kid in LA and my brother and I would go to the games with dad. We were soiled because he was the announcer for the then LA Angels we got to sit in the press box with him. Right behind home plate.

Met all the players and my brother even had his picture taken with Babe Ruth.

But basketball comes in a close second.
